Today, there’s no shortage of modern men’s hanfu available in the market. I’m prefer using the traditional/historical pattern shapes but assembling with modern sewing techniques. I use the Hanfu Pattern Making book to figure out my measurements when I’m drafting my patterns, and I use the Traditional Chinese Clothing Making book to get my pattern shapes. On May 18, the International Museum Day, several cultural and museum sites in Luoyang will prepare “surprises” for visitors dressed in Hanfu, nuwa hanfu which refers to a full set of traditional Chinese costumes with elegant makeup and hairstyle. This synthesis is evident in various art forms, including murals, stone carvings, silk embroidery, and, notably, in the elaborate designs of Tang Dynasty clothing. According to some Chinese scholars, the attire called guiyi in the Han dynasty was in the style of the quju shenyi. As mentioned, the Chinese had a unique style of dress that related to their cultural values and their values as people.
